So, I picked up something today.
Yep, I’m the proud owner of 50 pounds of sweet potatoes!
What am I going to do with so many sweet potatoes?
Well, besides the occasional baked potato (topped with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon), apparently, I’m about to learn how to can them and freeze them. Maybe I’ll even dehydrate some sweet potato chips.
Hmm, now I’m wondering if I bought enough…

I really love them chunked and roasted (so they get a little crispy on top/edges)(400-425 degrees). Toss in olive oil, sprinkle w/favorite savory seasoning. (My go-to is Montreal Steak Seasoning). Roast about 15 minutes, turn over and another 10-15 depending on have quickly they get soft enough. Really yummy and a big difference from the sweetened ones! Yum!

Oooh, I’ve got to try that. What besides the Montreal seasoning would be good?

Well…the ingredients are: salt, garlic, black and red pepper, onion and paprika so whatever combo you like.
I have another one called urban accents…balsamic and roasted onion veggie roaster seasoning blend. It has sea salt, dehydrated onion and garlic, rosemary thyme, vinegar powder, and sherry wine powder. So…your choice of whatever is your pleasure!
