Water Storage
Access to clean drinking water is one of the basic needs that needs to be included in your family’s preparedness plans. If you don’t have water, you put everyone in peril.
To develop your water storage plan, answer the following questions:
- Will you store water just for your 72-hour kit or do you want to be covered for the two week period that many natural disasters affect your welfare?
- How many gallons of water do you need to store for your family?
- Which storage container option will suit you and your family best?
- How much will it cost to acquire your family’s water storage?
- How will you budget and pay for this expense?
- When will you have your water storage for your 72-hour kit completed? When will you have your 2-week supply completed?
- How will you ensure your water continues to be safe to drink?
- What is your plan for rotating your water storage?
